Our High School Blood Drive is tomorrow! It will be from 8:15-1:45 PM in the Gym Lobby and is hosted by our National Honor Society students. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are encouraged to help avoid long wait times. Our High School Basketball Program is offering a Youth Basketball Clinic for all Chippewa Hills students in grades 1-6! This clinic series will run for five Saturdays starting November 2 through December 7 (except Thanksgiving weekend) at the Middle School gym, and focuses on developing basketball skills and having fun! Cost is $25 if paid in advance, $30 at the door. Submit the registration form, along with your payment, to your child’s school office. Registration is due by November 2. All players receive a Warriors t-shirt! We look forward to seeing your child there!

The Chippewa Hills Equestrian Team is competing at Regionals today! The team earned their way to regionals by outscoring Morley Stanwood and Crossroads Charter Academy at the district-level after 3 competitions. Leading the team in scoring was Carter Lukens with 185 points, Zach Hall with 97 points, Hannah Correll with 55 points and Maci Correll with 39 points. Regionals will be held September 27-29 at the Shiawassee County Fairgrounds where they will compete against 9 other schools in the hopes to advance to the State Finals in Midland on October 9th. NFL referee Alex Kemp visited Mr. Jose’s football officiating class yesterday! Alex has been an NFL ref for over a decade and shared a ton of wisdom with our young officials. Thank you, Alex, for coming to visit and speak with our students!

REMINDER: Monday, September 23 is an Early Release Day for students. The High School and Middle School will be released at 12:00 PM. Elementary Schools are released at 12:15 PM.

Introducing Website Wednesdays! We’re making lots of improvements on our Chippewa Hills website and within our CHSD Warriors app. Every Wednesday, we’ll showcase some of the new features on our website and show you where you can find valuable District information both online and in the district app. This week, let’s talk about Rooms! Parents, have you joined Rooms yet? Rooms is a new feature in the CHSD Warriors app that allows parents and guardians to stay up to date with classroom announcements and message with your student’s teachers. If you have not received your invitation to join Rooms, or if you’re having trouble with your Rooms account, you can fill out the Rooms Request Form on our website or in the app. The direct link to the form is: https://www.chsd.us/forms/chsd-app-rooms-request-form The form can be found on our website from the District home page under District > CHSD Warriors App > Rooms Access. It can also be filled out on the app under the District page > Forms > CHSD App: Rooms Request Form. Once we set up your account, we’ll email you an invitation to Rooms (the email comes from EduRooms). Just click on the link in that email to complete your account setup. From there, you’re good to go and you can log in to the Rooms portal in the CHSD Warriors app! If you're having login issues or trouble with your account, just fill out the form and we'll reach out to help!

Just a reminder about tonight's Senior Parent Meeting at 6:30 PM in the High School Auditorium! We'll be covering EVERYTHING to do with Senior Year! That includes senior year activities, graduation, post-graduation planning, college applications, FAFSA and more! There's a lot to cover and we hope to see all of our seniors and their parents there!

Time to introduce our Senior Homecoming Representatives and the nominees for our 2024 Homecoming Royalty! *** Senior Representative Maci Correll is from Mecosta. She is a Senior Class Officer and member of the National Honor Society. She’s also on the Equestrian team, Soccer team, and Cheerleading squad. She’s also actively involved in FFA and 4-H. Maci’s dream tropical vacation would be going to the clear waters of the Maldives and getting to see the pigs swimming in the water. Maci’s favorite tropical fruit is pineapple and at Tropical Smoothie Café she would order a Bahama Mama smoothie. After high school, Maci plans to attend college to pursue a degree in Agriculture Education. *** Hunter Howard is a senior from Remus. Hunter is a three-sport Warrior athlete, playing volleyball, basketball, and softball. She’s also a member of FFA. If given the opportunity to go on a tropical vacation anywhere, Hunter would go to Bali because it’s gorgeous and would be a pretty place to see. Her favorite fruit is strawberries and at Tropical Smoothie Café she would order a strawberry smoothie. As for her plans after high school, Hunter says she would like to become maybe a vet, maybe a nurse, or possibly enter the National Guard. She’s currently undecided and says to ask her again in 8 months. *** Senior Kirstin Sherman is from Barryton. She’s a life-long soccer player who is a member of the Lady Warriors Soccer team and our local AYSO team. She enjoys riding her bike, baking, and being outside while enjoying time with her daughter, family and friends. Kirstin would love to go on a tropical vacation to the Bahamas to swim in the crystal-clear water with the little piggies. At Tropical Smoothie Café she would order the Beach Bum smoothie and her favorite tropical fruit is kiwi. After graduating high school, Kirstin plans to attend college to become an elementary teacher. *** Senior Representative Austin Humphrey is from Weidman. Austin is a 3-sport Warrior athlete playing football, wrestling, and baseball. Last spring he received All-State first-team honors from the Michigan High School Baseball Coaches Association. If he could go on a tropical vacation anywhere, Austin would go to Hawaii. He loves the strawberry banana smoothie from Tropical Smoothie Café and his favorite tropical fruit is pineapple. Austin wants to play college football after graduating high school. *** Senior Brady White is from Canadian Lakes. Brady is a Warrior Golfer, a member of both Student Council and National Honors Society, and is the 2024-25 Yearbook Editor. Brady’s dream tropical vacation would be going to the island of Rhodes in Greece to visit the beaches, landscapes and historical sites. Brady’s favorite tropical fruit is coconut and at Tropical Smoothie Café he would order an island punch smoothie with a chicken pesto flatbread. After high school graduation, Brady plans to attend Central Michigan University. *** Easton Williams is a senior from Barryton. He is a member of the Warrior Boys Golf Team, President of the Student Council, Senior Class President, and Parliamentarian for the National Honor Society. If Easton could go on a tropical vacation anywhere, he would to Bora Bora for the over-water bungalows and super clear water. Easton loves the Bahama Mama smoothies from Tropical Smoothie Café and his favorite tropical fruit is pineapple. After high school, Easton hopes to attend the University of Michigan to major in political science on a pre-law track. *** Join us at the Homecoming Game tomorrow night at 7 PM at Warrior Stadium! The Homecoming Royalty will be crowned during the halftime ceremony!

Time to introduce our Junior Homecoming Representatives, Jaelynn Green and Robert Schlarf! *** Junior Representative Jaelynn Green is from Mecosta. She enjoys painting and doing as much with her art as she can. She’s also an avid reader and writes poetry. Jaelynn takes courses at the Mecosta-Osceola Career Center where she is studying public safety and working toward an EMT certification. Jaelynn would go on a tropical vacation to Jamaica because she’s heard it’s ammmazzinngggg and she’d like to sit and talk with people on how different everything is from the U.S. Her typical order at Tropical Smoothie Café is a strawberry banana smoothie, and pineapple is her favorite tropical fruit. After graduating high school, Jaelynn plans to enlist in the United States Army. *** Robert Schlarf is a Junior from Lake Isabella. He is a member of the Warrior Marching Band, and an active member of the Robotics, Dungeons and Dragons, and Men’s Volleyball clubs. If Robert could go on a tropical vacation anywhere, he would go to Fiji because it looks and sounds like a nice place. Robert’s favorite tropical fruit is mango and his go-to order at Tropical Smoothie Café is the Mango Magic. Robert is currently undecided about his plans after high school. *** Tonight is the Homecoming Parade and PowderPuff Football games!
